We are finally adding to our furniture collection. Just before Emery was born 3 years ago, we decided it was time to buy a new couch, something modern but practical for the kids. World Market was having a sale and well, yes, Rob drove to Montgomery to pick them up to keep his pregnant wife happy. The couch was great and looked great too! As time would go on, it quickly became a great big scratching post for the cats. If you have a cat, you know what I’m talking about. Imagine that behavior for 3 years!
Now let’s add 2 babies into the mix. Well you get the point, after endless juice spills, throw ups, and other accidents you can imagine it’s condition.
We were gifted 2 nice leather couches last week! Sooooo, with the addition of the new couches, this means Grey has got to go! No more scratching post! Kahlua, Greys mother, disappeared on us a couple months ago. So it’s just been Grey & Juan around the house. Grey is absolutely miserable with this set up. A very good friend has decided to adopt Grey and so after 8 years with us, she will be moving 2hrs away. Grey was born at a truck stop in Knoxville, TN! We are sad to see her go, but she will be sooo much happier at her new home.
We love the Fall, it’s definitely our favorite time of year. College football (well Rob has gotten in to it!) But all our favorite shows are back on! Dancing With The Stars, Cougar Town, Private Practice, Project Runway, so thankful for DVR!
The summer just seemed to fly by, I’m sure that’s the case fore everyone. Sometimes it’s hard to just catch your breath. We don’t get to see a lot of live music, mostly because, well you know….we did however make some time to see one of our favorite bands, Blue Rodeo who are from Toronto, Ontario. We saw them play at Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta, GA with about 300 people. Now this is a big deal to us because they are huge in Canada (sell out 15,000 seat amphitheaters!). So to see them up close in an intimate setting like Smith’s was definitely a high light!

Speaking of Canada, it’s hard to believe we have not been home since Christmas! What is up with that. This has to be a first since we moved to Auburn. The kids have been missing it too. They pretend to pack their suitcases and take a trip up there to visit the family. It’s so cute! They are at such fun ages right now and Wilson has become such a good little CD sales dude. He is hard to turn down!
